The excitement was electric on 25 January 2025 at Swalala Laduma Hardware as hundreds of customers gathered for the much-anticipated 2nd Car Competition Draw! Participating stores included Swalala, Hluvukani, Acornhoek, and Builden. Customers from eGemu and beyond attended the event in large numbers to witness the grand moment—the selection of the winner of a brand-new Toyota Vitz and of other consolation prize winners!
Our incredible suppliers, including Golden Choice, Mamba Cement, Lin Tank, PPC Cement, Tile Magic, Matis, Corobrik, and more, showed up in full force to support this joyous event.
The event was also graced by esteemed VIPs who play a pivotal role in the sustainability and growth of our store in Swalala. These included Nduna Thembi Shabangu and Nduna Elfas Mpangane from the Masoyi Traditional Council, Station Commander Colonel Lesele along with Senior Police Officers from Masoyi Police Station, and Councillor William Lubisi from Ward 5, Swalala.
Our dynamic Programme Directors, Mr. Simphiwe Mahloane (Branch Manager, Builden) and Mr. Isaac Phokane (Host- Branch Manager, Swalala), led an engaging program featuring:

The atmosphere was further energized by vibrant performances from the Sweet Dreamers—a talented drumming group of young children from Swalala—along with an engaging showcase by Masoyi Primary School learners. Adding to the excitement, our very own Gumba Gumba kept the crowd dancing with lively music. For those who couldn’t attend in person, the event was streamed live on Facebook.
