All roads led to Laduma Hardware Mankweng on March 22, 2025, for the thrilling 9th and final Car Competition Draw of the Laduma Hardware Group! Dubbed the “Last Blast,” this event marked the grand finale of the 2024/25 Car Competition, and the excitement, enthusiasm, and energy were absolutely electrifying.
From the immaculate stage setup and neatly arranged audience tent to the perfectly positioned supplier gazebos, every detail reflected the significance of the day. The event zone was beautifully demarcated, featuring navy and gold wheelbarrows alongside stacks of various cement brands, creating a striking display. Suppliers were ready, customers eagerly gathered, and anticipation filled the air—everyone was eager to see who would drive away in the brand-new Suzuki Fronx!
The battle for the grand prize was between Mankweng, Seshego, Bochum, Giyani, and Malamulele stores. VIPs in attendance included Kgoshi Mothiba from Mothiba Tribal Council with his delegation, Constable Mashangoane and Constable Ramashapa from Mankweng SAPS. Suppliers including Africa Tanks, Ceramic Industries, PPC Cement, Tile Magic, Matus, O’Gradys, Golden Choice Paint, Mamba Cement, and Flash Components engaged with customers, showcasing their products and giving away exciting promotional items.
The event kicked off with a prayer and the South African National Anthem. The line-up for the day was packed with entertainers including Déjà vu Entertainment, the Brass Band, Rokolo Dance and others. Adding to the excitement, the Xibelane dancers, courtesy of Laduma Hardware Giyani, who showcased traditional xiTsonga dances. Our very own Gumba Gumba did what they’re known for—delivering hot vibes that kept the crowd, both young and old, dancing to everything from hits of the ’80s to the latest tracks. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the Laduma team prepared a delicious meal for the audience to enjoy after the big reveal.

The 9th and final car competition draw ended on a high note, with customers celebrating, enjoying a hearty meal, and witnessing Laduma Hardware’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Since January 18, 2025, 9 brand-new cars have been won across Laduma Hardware stores, with 5 already handed over in Tonga, Hluvukani, Mkhuhlu, Lebowakgomo, and Thulamahashe. The remaining 4 cars are in the process of being handed over to their new owners, who are Laduma Hardware customers who simply participated in the 204/25 Car competition.
