The first car competition draw throughout the Laduma Hardware Group took place in Region 1, on the 28th May 2022 in Bushbuckridge Laduma Hardware. Region 1 is comprised of the following stores: Lebowakgomo, Jane Furse, Burgersfort, Bushbuckridge and Thulamahashe. The exciting event was marketed through various channels including the pamphlet, radio interviews, banners, social media, SMS campaigns and the Laduma Gumba Gumba.
On the 28th May, customers were waiting in anticipation for the car competition prize draw to take place. Most importantly, there was eagerness in regard to confirming on whether on not Laduma Hardware would indeed deliver as per its promise to customers by giving away a brand new 1.4 Toyota Starlet? The moment of truth had come.
As part of the event, customers were treated to a light mid-morning meal and cake since the draw took place whilst Laduma Hardware Group was celebrating its 26th Birthday. They were also entertained by DJ Kukza boys, a local cultural group, much to the amusement of the customers, suppliers and special guests that had been invited to grace the occasion. Children also had their fair share of fun with the jumping castle at their disposal and face painting that kept them busy and entertained.
Around Midday, all guests had arrived. The key guest was mama Lorraine Mashego, an elder in the community and a mother to the Chief in Bushbuckridge. After much anticipation and exhilarating moments, Ms. Sikhulekile Ntimane, a customer from Thulamahashe Laduma Hardware was selected as the Car winner for Region 1. The draw was done publicly and well received as customers got to experience the transparency with which the draw was conducted.
In addition, consolation prizes were won customers from the following stores:
- A 2500 litres Jojo water tank was won by Mr. M E Mphalele, a customer of Lebowakgomo Laduma Hardware
- A Deep Freezer was won by Frans Mokoena, a customer from Bushbuckridge Laduma Hardware
- A Safe was won by Mary Mohlala, a customer from Bushbuckridge Laduma Hardware; and
- 80 Bags of cement were won by Caster Sehlako, a customer from Jane Furse Laduma Hardware.
