The highly anticipated day—15 March 2025—finally arrived, and Burgersfort town came to a standstill as eager crowds gathered at the shopping complex where Laduma Hardware is located. The biggest question on everyone’s mind was: Who would drive away in the brand-new car? Would it be a Burgersfort or Driekop customer?
A Spectacular Setup & Unforgettable Atmosphere
With a prime setup right at the doorstep of our competitor, Build It, the event was a visual spectacle! Our incredible suppliers—Tile Magic, Al Shaik, Lin Tank, Africa Tank, Corobricks, Matus, PPC Cement, and Mamba Cement and others—showed up in style, displaying their products and promotional items to keep the audience engaged. The Laduma Team worked tirelessly to create an exciting, well-organized arena, ensuring top-tier entertainment for our valued customers.
A Program Full of Energy & Culture
Hosting the event were Moreen Monashane (Driekop Manager) and Washington Mpapha (Lebowakgomo Manager), keeping the energy high and the audience engaged. As per Laduma tradition, we opened with a prayer and the national anthem, setting the tone for a day filled with unity and celebration.

Adding vibrant cultural flair, the Motlolo Village Dancers delivered a spectacular traditional Sepedi dance performance, keeping the crowd captivated. Meanwhile, our Gumba Gumba DJs had everyone on their feet, with customers showcasing their best dance moves in exciting challenges.

A coupon was carefully drawn after a thorough mix of the competition entries from both Burgersfort and Driekop Stores. Then, that fateful call was made to the selected customer… but no answer.
Another coupon was drawn… Still, no answer.
Then, on the third attempt… the phone rang… and was answered!
