All roads led to Violet Bank, Ga Mokanatla as Laduma Hardware hosted the 6th Car Competition Draw
Excitement filled the air on 1st March 2025 as over 500 customers came from all over the Bushbuckridge region and beyond to Violet Bank, Ga Mokanatla, for the 6th Car Competition Draw. With four competing stores—Violet Bank, Bushbuckridge, Thulamahashe, and Dennilton—the excitement was at an all-time high as everyone wondered: Who would drive away in a brand-new Toyota Vitz?
The setup for the Car Competition Draw was simple yet elegant, with every detail meticulously arranged to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for the audience. From the neatly positioned gazebos showcasing supplier products to the well-organized stage and seating area, everything was designed to enhance the experience. The layout allowed for seamless interaction between customers, suppliers, and VIP guests, ensuring that the event not only ran smoothly but also kept the crowd captivated throughout the day.
The event began with prayers, the national anthem, and an energetic performance by the Mkhwenyantaba Mchongolo Traditional Dancers, setting the stage for an exciting day.
Among the VIP guests were Kgosigadi Lorraine Mashego, Belsy Moganedi (Thabakgolo Tribal Council), Mr. Nzimande (Traffic Department), Mr. Morgan (local businessman), and Mr. BD Nxumalo (Floraphophe Primary School, Thulamahashe). Valuable suppliers like Matus, Africa Tank, Lin Tank, Ceramic Industries, Mamba Cement, PPC Cement, Tile Magic, and Golden Choice Paint also put an excellent set up to engage with customers and showcase their products
Customers enjoyed exciting fun activities, including musical chairs, Shoot a Laduma Goal, dance competitions, and the Spin & Win wheel for shoppers who spent R500 or more, while our Gumba Gumba kept the energy high with the latest jams, turning the event into a joyous celebration.
Before the grand prize draw, consolation prizes winners were drawn from each store, building up even more excitement. Smiles with underlying tension could be visibly seen amongst the 4 competing Stores’s Managers i.e. Sabelo, Tshepo, Abel, and Matshepo. Each one took the honour of opening their competition box and VIP guests were given the honour to select the consolation prize winners. The winners are:

The most anticipated moment of the day finally arrived—the Grand Prize Draw! Each store manager—Sabelo, Tshepo, Abel, and Matshepo—carefully emptied their competition boxes in full view of the crowd, ensuring that every single entry was included. To maintain transparency, each manager displayed the empty boxes to the public before the competition entries were thoroughly mixed in the spinning wheel. Excitement and tension filled the air as eager customers held their breath, waiting for the big reveal. Smiles and nervous glances were exchanged between store managers and customers alike as the wheel spun, carrying the hopes of thousands.
Then, the moment arrived—VIP guest Kgosigadi Lorraine Mashego took centre stage to randomly select the grand prize winner. The crowd watched in anticipation, with seconds feeling like hours, until finally, the name was announced—Mr. Robert Nxumalo, a customer from Thulamahashe Laduma Hardware, had won the brand-new Toyota Vitz! The crowd and staff erupted in celebration as Laduma Hardware once again proved its commitment to rewarding loyal customers with life-changing prizes!
