Across various departments—from Executive Management, Construction and Maintenance, Operations, the Board, Sign Depot, Purchasing, Human Resources Department, IT, Credit and Training Department to Marketing and others—every effort was coordinated to ensure that all was set for the Grand Store Opening of Laduma Hardware Moratiwa on 26th March 2026. Despite the many sleepless nights, collaborated team work, the Laduma Hardware team, pulled all strings to ensure that the store launch was yet another successful event and experience for the customers.
Laduma Hardware Moratiwa boasts approximately 700 square metres of retail space, complemented by a 2000 square metre yard. This generous layout allows for immaculate merchandising across a wide range of products, catering to all building needs and budgets.
When the much-anticipated day arrived, the programme commenced with prayers and words of encouragement. At 07h00, the doors officially opened to customers. From the onset, customers streamed in—many holding promotional pamphlets—ready to take advantage of the exciting offers and explore a variety of building and hardware solutions.
In line with Laduma Hardware’s commitment to delivering on its promises, the first 10 customers who spent R5,000 or more were each rewarded with a free Laduma wheelbarrow and hosepipe.
Suppliers also showed strong support, setting up gazebos and showcasing their products while engaging directly with customers. These included PPC Cement, Mamba Cement, Africa Water Tanks, Tile Magic, Golden Choice Paints, O’Grady’s Paint, Centurion, Mayford, NJR Steel, among others.
The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the Mahlangu Tribal Authority, who expressed appreciation for Laduma Hardware’s strategic decision to bring the store closer to the people of Moratiwa, Monsterlus and neighbouring communities.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the Laduma Gumba Gumba kept customers entertained with lively music throughout the day. The Marketing Team provided live updates via Facebook Live, while the Promotions Team actively engaged with customers, showing appreciation through giveaways such as lunch bags, cooler boxes, fans, and more.
Throughout the day, the store experienced a steady flow of customers purchasing and interacting with staff across both the shop floor and yard. Executive Management remained actively involved, engaging with customers, suppliers, community leaders, and staff—demonstrating strong leadership and support.
The day concluded on a high note, marking Laduma Hardware’s successful arrival in the communities of Moratiwa and Monsterlus.
