JANE FURSE STOOD STILL AS WE HOSTED THE 5th LADUMA HARDWARE CAR COMPETITION DRAW
The streets of Jane Furse were buzzing with excitement as crowds gathered in anticipation of the 5th Car Competition Draw at Laduma Hardware Jane Furse on February 15, 2025! From early morning, customers, including those working out of town, arrived in numbers, eager to witness the much-awaited draw. Cars lined the streets, proving just how unmissable this moment was.
Our Valuable Suppliers were on the ground, setting up gazebos, promotional materials, and info packs, ready to engage with customers. We were honoured to host VIP guests including 3 members from Jane Furse South African Police Service (SAPS), Ms. T H Libotsa from Mokgele Foundation; Pastor Moela and SK FM – Our media partners
From the moment customers arrived, our Jane Furse Laduma Hardware team welcomed them with smiles, songs, and dance. The event kicked off with a prayer and National Anthem, led by our vibrant Programme Directors – Imbokodos Only: Ms. Hellen Moetanalo; Ms. Jeanette Makgoale and Ms. Moreen Monashane
The crowd was treated to exciting games and competitions, including Musical Chairs; Shoot the Goal, Dance Contests and The Famous Laduma Concentration Test Game. Both young and old were given chances to participate. Winners were awarded prizes and pampered with loads of promotional items from our Suppliers.
Itsosheng Basadi Cultural Group wowed the audience with their traditional performances, while our Gumba Gumba Team kept the energy high with Sepedi hits and the latest jams, turning the event into an all-out celebration!
The moment everyone had been waiting for arrived! SK FM, alongside our very own Hellen, popularly known as “Hellen wa Mokitlana” took over the stage, broadcasting the draw LIVE on the Community Radio Station. The crowd grew even bigger as listeners rushed to the event, eager to witness history being made.

As the grand prize draw approached, excitement and tension filled the air. Our Laduma Hardware Jane Furse staff members lightened the mood with an electrifying dance, bringing laughter and joy to the audience.
Then, the moment of truth arrived! Sergeant Nkadimeng reached into the box and drew the GRAND PRIZE WINNER…
“KHOMOTJO KHATJEDI!”
The phone rang, and the entire crowd fell silent… She answered! The message was conveyed that she was the winner of the Brand-new Toyota Vitz!!! Tears, screams, could be clearly heard as she heard the exciting news. Wines were splashed, bottles popped, and celebrations erupted as the winner was announced.
Khomotjo Khatjedi was officially announced as the winner of a brand-new Toyota Vitz!
